Remember when we thought that jeans were comfortable? Oh what a time that was.
Then leggings came back in style. I will admit– I was a skeptic at first. I held off buying any, thinking they would not look good on me. Thinking they would be obsolete in a season or two.
But then I got to the point where I could not ignore their benefits. Wrinkle-free, easy to pack, comfortable, and they go with anything. I went ahead and bought a pair. And then I wore that pair out and invested a few pairs of leggings, and I never looked back.
How could I think they would not look cute– leggings are cute on everyone! That’s kind of the point. They are a great basic to build an outfit upon. I started off with just wearing black, but I’ve since experimented with different colors and prints. It’s time to live a little!

Me, basking in comfort and non-restriction.
Now I am actively planning on wearing leggings for the rest of my life. Not every day, of course. But they are my go-to for running errands and casual events. It’s 2019 and will not be bound by the oppression of wearing jeans without a good reason anymore.
Like anything, leggings have their drawbacks. They are all see-through to some extent. That’s why I always wear mine with a top or tunic that goes to at least my upper thigh, so that I’m not flashing the entire world as I go about my day. Additionally, like jeans but at a much faster pace, if you have thick thighs like me, the inseam in the thigh area is on borrowed time. Your heart will break that day when you look down and witness your thighs poking through. I once had to stop by Torrid on my way to the Dentist because my thighs chose that moment to finally break through my leggings and expose themselves to the outside world.
But even with their drawbacks, I am still all about the leggings fo life. I love Forever 21 and Torrid for getting my legging fix. What about you all? Do you wear tights and leggings? Where are your favorite places to get them?

Leggings are nice on women but only if they are covered up from the waist below. I say that because I’ve seen some women wearing leggings and you can see their underwear and everything else they shouldn’t be showing off. This article was great to read because it made me realize that I’m seeing a lot more leggings than pajama pants. I hated that. Nothing more makes someone look lazy like wearing pajama pants to go shopping in Wal-Mart at 3 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. That’s lazy and trashy.
Yes!!– I agree that for me, I’m uncomfortable revealing all that. I’m hesitant to send out an edict for all women– do what makes you happy, I guess. But as for me and my house, we’re covering our bottoms 😂
