I am Kristen Greenwood. I work. I travel. I cook. I model. I werk.

I grew up as just a nerdy, chubby little black girl in Arlington, Texas. Nobody was checking for me but my family. But there’s a beautiful thing about being an “ugly duckling”– if you do it right, you can focus on other qualities besides looks that will eventually make you an interesting, well-rounded individual. I’m not saying I’m just this amazing person, but I will say that I have some substance. And that character-building in my formative years has caused me to be able to complete my life goals in a fairly linear fashion– undergrad degree….check. Corporate finance job….check. Masters in Business Administration….check. Becoming a plus size model….check. Travel often…check (even though a lot of it’s for work– does that still count??). Become a competent cook…..check. Now I’m at a point where, I’ve done a lot of what I set out to do, and I have accumulated a lot of experiences and opinions that I want to share. And then I want to share my experiences going forward. Because now I just want to have fun. And I have a feeling that the best is yet to come. Shout out to the chubby black girls.
